Pump Engineering’s AT Turbo selected for Graham Tek’s Power Seraya SWRO project
Posted 08/29/06

Robert A. Oklejas, President of Pump Engineering, INC (PEI) announced another order for a large East Asia SWRO project. Graham Tek, the well known Singaporean RO desalination system supplier has selected PEI’s AT 2400 Hydraulic Turbocharger for energy recovery service for a 15,000m3/d desalination facility. The RO plant will be part of the boiler feed water make up system for the Power Seraya power plant located in Singapore. This order comes on the heels of last month’s announcement from India’s Ion Exchange for selection of 5 AT 3600 Hydraulic Turbochargers for the CPCL SWRO project in Chennai. As with CPCL, the Power Seraya plant was originally specified for isobaric energy recovery by the design engineering firm. However, after a presentation made by the PEI sales team led by Michael Oklejas and Satish Shaligram, the AT Turbo was included in the specifications as an alternate. Graham Tek performed a detailed Total Life Cycle Cost analysis before making the final decision for PEI’s AT Turbo.
