PEI's AT 1800 Turbo Equipped Plant in Sharm El- Sheikh Achieves 2.85kW/m3 Energy Rate

Robert Oklejas, president of Pump Engineering announced the start up of a AT 1800 Turbo in Sharm El- Sheikh , Egypt. The unit is handling about 2,000gpm of high salinity (42,000ppm) feed flow and is operating with a two stage segmental ring feed pump. The Turbo has been operating for about 3 months. The RO plants high pressure circuit has achieved a Specific Energy Consumption in the 2.85 – 2.9 kW/m3 range, comparing very favorably to isobaric device’s publish SEC rates of 3.1 – 3.4 kW/m3 on similar salinity water.
