Pump Engineering Purchases New Machines

Pump Engineering recently added two new machines to our shop. A Sunnen Cylinder Hone and Lion Long-Bed Engine Lathe were purchased for the turning and precision honing of the MSRO containment shells. These purchases will allow PEI to manufacture the containment shell in-house, maintaining control of the manufacturing and delivery processes. Due to the large machine size, it was very difficult to find a vendor who had the equipment to outsource this process. Ken Guess, Production Manager, stated, “The purchase of these machines indicates PEI’s continued investment in the MSRO line and is the first step in ensuring the quality of the manufacturing process and improving the line.”
